Diplomatic efforts are ongoing to stop the conflict in the East DRC. What was supposed to be the main breakthrough, the meeting in the Government Congolez in the first direct negotiations, is now pending. At the last minute, the M23 was pulled out. One of these reasons is the new EU sanctions against several officials of Rvandan due to the alleged support Rwanda for the M23 armed group. But Dr. Congo says he will attend peace talks in Luanda in despite the snub on Tuesday.
