Beijing and Moscow have vowed to strengthen their ties after the Russian Prime Minister’s visit.
China has been Russia’s largest trading partner for 15 consecutive years. Trade between the two countries is expected to reach nearly $245bn in 2024, growing by 1.9 per cent annually.
But trade in the pair has taken a hit in recent months due to pressure from Donald Trump.
