The 49-year-old actress reflected on the public’s perception of her morning show co-star during an appearance on the Monday, November 3 episode of the “Armchair Expert with Dax Shepard” podcast, telling the hosts Dax Shepard i Monica Padman that people often have misconceptions about the friends icon
The conversation arose when Shepard, 50, and Padman, 38, mentioned that they recently interviewed Aniston56, in the program.
“We’ve known each other for so long and we’re very different people,” Witherspoon said of her longtime friend, to which Shepard replied that “opposites attract.”

“She’s very warm and welcoming. She’s a great host, like, ‘Come.’ She’s very warm and friendly. I think I’m more of a nerd,” Witherspoon continued.
As Witherspoon described Aniston, whose life has unfolded in the public eye since becoming a household name thanks to friendsthe Oscar winner admitted that he has been moved by the scrutiny Aniston is facing.
“But Jen, I will say that … I’ve known her for 25, 26 years. She’s always been very charming and nurturing and warm and kind and gentle, and she’s been through her own things, you know?” Witherspoon said. “And she also has reason to be a little bit wary. She can make me cry. . . . I cried in one of our interviews because I was like, I think sometimes people are so unfair: they think they know her and they make assumptions.”

“By the way, on her 50th birthday, one of the biggest testimonials I can say to what a wonderful person she is … people from her teens, people in her 20s, people who work at her house, all her ex-husbands, ex-boyfriends, were there,” Witherspoon said. “She’s just, like, a person of high spiritual integrity.”
In addition to Pitt, Aniston was previously married to an actor Justin Therouxwhom she met in 2011. The couple married in August 2015 but split in late 2017.
