TikTok announced On Monday, Tiktok launched its first ever awards, including “Creator of the Year,” “Video of the Year,” “Artist of the Year,” and more.
The announcement came just weeks after Instagram Introduces “Ring” Rewards ProgramSee rank-. Unlike instagram, Tiktok has a more approach to awards, because it shows the real award in the winner will be shown live in the event. The event will feature a red carpet, live performances, and a live audience of hundreds of creators, TikTok said.
The award show will take place on December 18 at the Hollywood palladium in Los Angeles and will be live on the Tiktok app and on Tubi. The show will be available to stream on demand on YouTube today.
Users will be able to vote for their favorite creators on a new portal at the Tiktok Launch on November 18.
It should be noted, although this is the first time Tiktok has received the same award in other countries, including Germany, Mexico, Korea, etc. in the past.

By starting an award show, TikTok is positioning itself as more than a social media app and more of an entertainment force in the entertainment industry. Given that Tiktok is a PAD that will be launched some emerging artists and Actorit makes sense to celebrate the top users with a show of the brand itself.
