Chelsea, 34, shared a series of Dodgers-related posts on Saturday, Oct. 25, including a celebratory Instagram story after the team beat the Toronto Blue Jays 5-1. Chelsea captioned a video with an emphatic “Yayayayyyyyy!!!!”.
The win was needed for the team, which lost 11-4 during Game 1 on Friday, October 24th.
The celebration comes just a few days later Chelsea called out to the others to provide support for the Dodgers pitcher Alex Vesia as he attends to a “personal family matter” during the World Series.
“Please keep Vesies in your prayers 💙,” Chelsea wrote via her Instagram story on Thursday, October 23.
The request came after the Dodgers announced Vesia would be unavailable for the rest of the postseason.
“It is with heavy hearts that we share that Alex Vesia is away from the team as he and his wife Kayla navigate a deeply personal family matter,” the MLB team wrote via Instagram on Thursday “The entire Dodgers organization is sending our thoughts to the Vesia family and we will provide an update at a later date.”
Chelsea and Freddie they have been married since 2014 and share three children: Charlie, Brandon and Maximus. The family moved to California in 2022 after Freddie signed a $162 million contract with the Dodgers after spending 12 seasons with the Atlanta Braves.
The couple have been open about their road to parenthood. The couple’s son Charlie was born in 2016, and Brandon followed in December 2020. Maximus, who was born via surrogate, arrived in February 2021, just months later.
Chelsea and Freddie have been open about their parenting journey and the ups and downs of trying to conceive.
“We tried for a couple of years, and it just didn’t happen,” the Freemans told ESPN after Max was born. “We were talking to doctors and they suggested surrogacy. We jumped at it, because we wanted to be blessed with more children.”

In August 2024, the family revealed that Max was diagnosed with a rare neurological disorder called Guillain-Barré syndrome, which often means that the body’s immune system is attacking its own nerves. The child spent 8 days in the ICU and was unable to sit, stand or walk.
“These have been the hardest and scariest days of our lives,” the couple said in a joint statement on Instagram. “Maximus is such a special boy and has been fighting so hard. This is going to be a journey of recovery, but we have faith that he will make a full recovery.”
Fortunately, Maximus was able to return to Dodger Stadium a month later in September to cheer on his father. “Love to have you back Max! 💙,” the Dodgers’ official Instagram post wrote alongside a photo showing Max, his mother and two brothers.
