Sydney Sweeney premieres Bleached Bob at Christy’s premiere at AFI Fest


Sydney Sweeney she switched up her signature look just in time for the red carpet!

Sweeney, 28, stepped out at the premiere of her film on Saturday, October 25 at AFI Fest Christie in a Miu Miu dress with pastel pink lace and a full skirt that cinched in at the waist with a matching belt.

For glamour, Sweeney sported her signature blonde highlights a shorter, lighter bob.

Sweeney plays the boxing phenom Christy Martin in the upcoming biopic, undergoing a series of on-screen hair changes: from a brunette mullet to a shaggy pixie to blonde box braids.

“This is a transformation,” her longtime hair salon, Glen Cocohe said Vogue on Saturday “Christie it has many underlying tones of resilience, transformation and power.”

He continued: “Sydney herself transformed for this role and I wanted to transform her into this updated version of herself in real life. Something new and fresh to close out the rest of the year.”

The actress continued, “I’ve always believed that you can’t make it feel real if it’s a stunt double or if you’re faking the hits.”

According to Sweeney, it took him three months to get into fighting shape.

“I loved it. I came on board to play Christy and had about three and a half months of training. I started eating,” he recalled. W magazine in June. “I weight trained in the morning for an hour, did kickboxing in the afternoon for about two hours and then weight trained again at night for an hour.”

Sweeney further revealed that her “body was completely different” after her fitness transformation.

“It didn’t fit any of my clothes. I usually wear a size 23 in jeans and I was wearing a size 27,” she said at the time. “My breasts got bigger. And my ass got bigger. It was crazy! I was like, ‘Oh my God.’ It was amazing. I was so strong, like crazy strong.”
