Dancing With the Stars’ Cheryl Burke compares Dylan Efron and Rob Kardashian

Cheryl Burke can see Dylan Efronthe full potential of Dancing with the stars.

“It reminds me Rob Kardashian,” Burke, 41, said exclusively Us Weekly on Thursday, October 25, ahead of his next appearance as a guest judge on the ballroom. “He’s invested a lot, like, he’s putting everything into it. Now with Rob, it was different because it wasn’t like that initially.”

Burke partnered with Kardashian, now 38, during season 13 in 2011. DWTS. They finished second behind eventual winners JR Martinez and pro Karina Smirnoff.

“It was it’s hard to even bring it to rehearsal because he was so nervous, poor, but once he started to feel comfortable (he changed and that’s why I think) he and Dylan are similar in that way,” Burke recalled. “He’s giving himself into this experience because that’s all he can do, and he’s working on it, like, he’s not just doing the work in the studio.”

She continued, “Like, you can tell she has a lot of thought processes behind everything. She’s probably eating, sleeping (dancing, and) if she has a girlfriend, I feel bad for her because, like, she’s probably living the dance right now.”

Efron, 33, is a current competitor DWTS season 34 alongside his professional partner, Daniella Karagach.

“Not only am I learning to dance, but I’m learning to act, and I feel like I’m using every hour of every day to check that out,” Efron said exclusively. we in the Reality Stars issue of the year earlier this month. “I’m very proud of how much I’m putting into it.”

He added: “While the traitors it’s not easy, a lot of it is out of your control and depends on luck. DWTS it’s completely under your control, and it’s up to you to go out there and perform and do your best. It’s been incredibly challenging physically and mentally, and very rewarding for exactly the same reasons.”

According to Efron, it appears in DWTS has been “so out of (his) comfort zone” and tested his relationship with his longtime girlfriend Courtney King.

“I’d be lying if (I said) Dancing with the stars It wasn’t hard, but I think it’s harder on Courtney than me,” Efron said of King during a recent appearance on “The Viall Files” podcast. “She’s trying right now, but she’s very supportive. She knows I love her. We know everything is temporary, so I don’t think anything has changed. I know it’s hard for us right now, but we’re still where we are. We still love each other and, yes, we’re in a great place.”

Efron and Karagach, 32, are currently preparing DWTS‘ Halloween nightwhen they will dance a Viennese waltz Tommie Profitt i Brooke“Can’t Help Falling In Love (DARK), plus two more numbers for the cast’s dance marathon. Burke, meanwhile, will serve as a guest judge along with the regular jury. Carrie Ann Inaba, Derek Hough i Bruno Tonioli.

“I’m definitely going to look for authenticity. I think, you know, that might be an important word, but authenticity for the dance style, and especially when it comes to ballroom dancing,” Burke, 26 times. DWTS pro, made fun of we of his style of judging. “I mean, I’m the first to say that I’m definitely not an expert in contemporary or jazz, but I’m in ballroom. I’m going to look for a technique executed the right way that’s written in the technique books, because that’s what I know, right? So I’m going to focus and stay in my lane until then.”

Burke also can’t wait to see his former co-stars one more time.

“It’s all family,” he said. “Even though it’s been three years, it will probably feel like no time has passed at all.”
