New York City mayoral front-runner Johran Mamdani has condemned Islamophobic attacks on him after opponent Andrew Cuomo laughed at a radio host’s comment that Mamdani would ‘cheer up another 9/11’. In an emotional speech, Mamdani said such rhetoric showed widespread tolerance of anti-Muslim sentiments.
