Grant Farrest regained victory on the domestic soil for the second time in his career with four shots of success at a championship in Aberdeen.
Forrest, who was raised his double Sex tour in St Andrews four years ago, took control of windy conditions over the weekend on Trump International Golf Links to list his dominance.
Holding three shots moving in the weekly final wheel, the 32-year-old saw its lead trimmed on two after Todd Clements’ on the opening on the opening.
However, when Forrest birded fourth and Clements cardio in the same hole, Scot led five and never looked back.
World no. 294, who last awarded two more birds last last time and discarded shot in closing 72 to end with a total of eight pods.
After the victory, Forrest received facets from the American President Donald Trump that he congratulated him by his victory on his course and invited him to play Golf.
“Well, I tell you what I was watching and he was a player,” Trump said.
“I look forward to playing with him. In fact, I would play with him tomorrow if he could get on the plane.
“Get on the plane and come here, Grant!”
For Forrest, it was an incredible moment to win the house lawn.
“It’s amazing, just without a word,” Forrest said. “I think that the same week as I won four years ago in the calendar, so only amazing, it must say something about this week and like home.
“I just can’t believe it. It was such a hard year on the golf course. It’s just a crazy game you can go and go out and do it, with what doesn’t feel out of nowhere.
“It’s just that old chestnut that the week can turn things around and there.”
Joe Dean nervously paired last to demand solo seconds in four below, with John Parri with a single shot still behind with Norwegian Christopher Reitan and Danish Jacob Skom Olesen.
Jordan Smith finished six two, while Clements, Andy Sullivan and Finland Oliver Lindell were further recorded Adrift – the only nine players to finish the tournament under par.
