A person in South Carolina convicted of his ex-girlfriend’s parents opening the first death inmate imposed by firing the squad in the last 15 years.
Brad Sigmon shot down to death after 18:00 local time (23:00 GMT) Friday three volunteers firing rifle on his chest with specially designed ammunition.
Sigmon, 67, was convicted of killing David and Gladys Larke with a baseball bat in 2001 before his ex-girlfriend in Gunpoint. He escaped while he was shot.
Sigmon asked death by firing the squad of the other two-approved methods approved by the State: Electric chair and lethal injection.
Chrysti Shain, at the South Carolina Department of Correans, said Sigmon was declared dead by a doctor at 18:08 local time.
Three members of the Larke family attended to witness his death, he said.
Before killed, Sigmon said: “I want my closing statement one of love and forgiveness.”
He quoted from the Bible to criticize the death penalty, and said: “We have no longer living under the law of the Old Testament, but now lives under the New Testament.”
Sigmon is tied to a chair, with a glass underneath to get bloodshed, the Witnesses say.
A curtain hides three volunteers opened at 18:01. At 18:05, Trio fired from 15ft (4.6m) without counting.
Jeffrey Collins, a journalist for the Associated Press News Agency, said a news conference Sigmon has a target of red placed in his heart.
After reading his last statement, a hood was placed on his head.
When he was shot, his chest got up and fell down many times, further to the reporter.

Anna Dobbins, a journalist for Whff-TV, adds that Sigmon wears a black jump suit, but with arms “changed” when he was shot.
“I found a blood splash when entering his body’s bullets,” he said.
He said all shots were fired simultaneously, and the Witnesses did not find guns.
The prison guards also offered witness testin to protect their ears from the sound of shots, added a reporter for post and courier newspaper.
Sigmon’s lawyer, the king of Bo, hoping a final minute stay in the Governor’s Murder of South Carolina and accused the condition of preventing information about Lethol Injection.
The king said his client suffered a mental illness, and that the friendship he made in prison proof that he was rehabilitated.
“Brad was a man, for his last meal, asked to get three buckets of original recipe Kentucky fried chicken so he could join a woman who died on Friday.
“In his last meal, he wanted to share something special with them,” he said.
Since 1977 only three people die by firing the squad, and all three of the Utah state. The last case is Ronnie Lee Gardner in 2010.
