The Northern Yorkshir police attract witnesses after the preuson of York City against Salford City is abandoned after some of the player’s players allegedly undergo racial abuse.
Salford Boss Karl Robinson led their players from the field at the Lannes Community Stadium in the final game with the level of results in 3-3 after their players were targeted.
The Fideor York National League confirmed that they cooperate in their investigation with the Northeastern Police of North Yorkshire.
Police said the 23-year-old was arrested regarding the incident and appealed to witnesses to come into contact.
They said the incident followed the field disorder towards the end of the game.
Statement of the club Read: “The Iork Football Club is horrified to learn about the allegations of racial abuse whose Salford is city players in this evening in the middle season.
“Both clubs, in addition to the match official, decided to subtract both teams from the field at the time.
“York City condemns racism in all forms. We stand with Salford in exuding this behavior in the strongest possible conditions.
“The club is now working with the Northeast Yorkshire police to investigate.
“We would like to thank Salford City for co-operation in what is a deep disturbing evening.”
League Two sides Salford said, “The question was quickly reported to the bodies and Salford team, he took off the Toped Manager of Karl Robinson.
