King Charles III will launch your own reproduction list with Apple Music titled The king’s music room.
The reproduction list will be published on Commonwealth Day on Monday, March 10, and will feature some of the king’s favorite music artists, including Bob Marley, Kylie Minogue and Grace Jones.
“Gathering very beloved artists from all over the Commonwealth, the king has shared a selection of songs that have brought joy to” The King’s Music Room “to mark the day of the Commonwealth 2025,” he says to statement Shared through the Royal Family’s Instagram account on Friday, March 7.
“Recorded at Buckingham Palace, Her Majesty provides anecdotes from her personal experiences when explaining why each song was chosen,” the statement added.
In a video message, Charles, 76, said, “Throughout my life, music has meant me a lot. I know that this is also the case with so many others.”
“He has this remarkable ability to bring happy memories to flood from the deepest retreats of our memory, to comfort us in times of sadness and to bring us to distant places. But perhaps, above all, it can raise our spirits to such an extent, and even more so when it unites us in celebration. In other words, it gives us joy.”
The songs presented on the playlist should not yet be revealed. However, the Buckingham Palace shared the names of some artists in a statement on the royal website.
“Crossing continents and genres, the reproduction list includes legendary artists Bob Marley, Kylie Minogue and Grace Jones, along with contemporary talents such as Davido and Raye,” says the statement.
“The King’s Music Room is sure to surprise and delight music fans everywhere, revealing a more personal side to his majesty,” he added.
The king will also share personal anecdotes about his experiences with some of the chosen artists “and will reveal why the songs help to form the soundtrack to his life,” the statement said.
