‘The Beast in Me’ (2025)
A recent Netflix thriller is from last fall The beast in mea show that made you question who your neighbors really are. The series is the protagonist Claire Danes as lonely author Aggie Wiggs, divorced and still reeling from the death of her young son. While struggling with writer’s block, her new neighbor, Nile Jarvis (Matthew Rhys), moves into the house next door, a man who was the main suspect in his wife’s murder. Forging a timid cat-and-mouse relationship, Aggie finally agrees to write his book about the Nile as he tries to unravel the mystery of his wife’s disappearance.
The beast in me is the perfect, complete thriller where the end of each episode leaves you wanting the next, even when it seems obvious where the mystery will go. Still, you can’t help but stay until the end to see it all wrapped up in a bow, and the series is full of left turns, surprises and surprises that make you question your instincts. In short, The beast in me it’s an acting showcase, with Rhys and Danes conjuring up some potent chemistry, though Brittany Snow as Nile’s second wife is also a real standout.
‘The Perfect Couple’ (2024)
Based on Elin Hilderbrand’s 2018 novel of the same name, The Perfect Couple it starts with a murder at a wedding, how shocking. The day Amelia (Eve Hewson) is to marry into the wealthy Winbury family of Nantucket, a body washes up before the ceremony begins, and suddenly everyone in the wedding party is a suspect. As the investigation unfolds, tensions rise, motives are revealed and family secrets are exposed, with the facade of perfection maintained by the Winburys sure to crumble.
The Perfect The pair stand out as a juicy whore mystery with a stacked cast who are all in fine form. directed by Nicole Kidman, the rest of the cast includes Liev Schreiber, Dakota Fanning, Meghann FahySam Nivola i Isabella Adjani. The Perfect Couple is the perfect comfort food thriller: beautiful locations, beautiful costumes, beautiful people, and an airport mystery novel with enough twists and turns to keep you hooked until the end. And, as always, Kidman shines in her consistent type as a privileged, imperiled woman whose domestic bliss is anything but.
‘Behind Her Eyes’ (2021)
Who wants a psychological thriller with a little sci-fi twist? We certainly do. Behind his eyes is based on the novel of the same name by Sarah Pinborough and stars Simona Brown, Tom Bateman and, for the second time on this list, Eve Hewson. It centers on single mother Louise (Brown), who finds herself drawn into a strange friendship with the enigmatic wife (Hewson) of the man she’s having an affair with (Bateman). However, things are not as they seem between the married couple, and Louise soon becomes entangled in their dark and twisted web involving the paranormal.
Alongside the aforementioned sci-fi aspect, Behind his eyes add some healthy (and welcome) eroticism to their emotions, and the show ends up being an exceptional bit of pure escapist entertainment. Not to mention, it offers a bit of a change from your standard thriller fare, although if you don’t like things getting a little too “out there”, then Behind his eyes it may turn out to be a bridge too far. However, if you’re looking for something a little different, you’ll definitely find it with this show, and it has plenty of unexpected plot twists. Plus, who could say no to such an attractive cast?
